The Beaches of Helsinki: Porvariskuninkaanpuisto
Porvariskuninkaanpuisto beach is located in East Helsinki, in Jollas. The location is peaceful, and this beach is not easy to find.
Don't believe me, believe that statue. But now, on to the beach photos.
The beach is not very large, but it is in a sheltered spot. There are no showers.
The beach promenade and the bathing hut, though boarded up, remind us of the manor life.
I understand that a walkway used to lead from the pier toward the manor.
Just under a couple of hundred meters from the beach, there are some charming new apartment buildings.
One more look at the scenery. It was a beautiful day. Twenty minutes from this moment, I was walking around the Jollas manor in shorts, and through huge nettle bushes, of course, for a good picture. Sometimes, you have to suffer for beauty.
