The Beaches of Lohja: Moisio

Moision beach is located north of Lohja city center, close to the Tytyri mines. The beach appears serene and quiet for a reason: in the past few years, the water quality has been poor, and swimming is not recommended.

Part of the problem might be due to the presence of wildlife. This beach is situated in a bay where birds also like to gather.

I visited here in the summer of 2019. The situation might have changed since then. It’s worth checking the latest information on Lohja's website. 

The beach has changing cabins and a portable toilet.

The parking lot is spacious. It’s hard to believe that this place is within walking distance from Lohja city center.
