The Beaches of Helsinki: Eiranranta
Eiranranta is found amidst beautiful scenery in southern Helsinki. The beach is not official - meaning water quality is not measured and there are no toilets - but it is still a nice and well-maintained beach.
These photos are from July 2017. It was beautiful but cold. There were not many swimmers. One kid was wearing Reima rainwear because of the wind from the sea.
While the beach is in a sheltered location protected by Hernesaari and Sirpalesaaret, if the wind is coming directly from the south, fairly high waves can hit the shore.
By the way, there are some cruise ships in the background on the right.
Next to the beach, there's a nice grassy area where you can play or relax.
