Viewpoints in Espoo: Jäniskallio in Nuuksio

A somewhat surprising viewpoint in Espoo can be found on the shore of Nuuksion Pitkäjärvi. On the west side of the lake is Jäniskallio. The hill doesn't seem very high when you climb it, but you reach a surprisingly high point, and the views are quite impressive.

Jäniskallio is better known for its rock paintings. There is no certain information about their age. It is very difficult to reach this spot except in winter over the ice - and even then, you should ensure the ice is definitely strong enough.
