The Beaches of Espoo: Odilampi
Odilampi's small beach is located in Kalajärvi, right on the border with Vantaa. The idyllic beach is peacefully situated in the middle of the forest.
The small beach has a nice sandy bottom. At the end of the pier, you can no longer reach the bottom, so the beach deepens fairly quickly.
Odilampi's water is brownish, presumably iron-rich. Doesn't it just make you want to take a dip right now?
I've had photos from Odilampi online for nearly a decade, but most of the pictures in this series are from the summer of 2019. However, I kept this one old photo because it’s just a great shot.
The facilities at the beach are quite proper, with a clean changing booth and toilets further away from the beach.
You can reach the beach from Mariannantie. There is no separate parking lot, but you can park along the street. There are also numerous buses passing nearby. From the parking area, it is a walk of a little over a hundred meters through the pine forest to the beach.
