The Beaches of Hyvinkää: Usmi
The beautiful Usmi beach is located on the shore of Usminjärvi, a few kilometers from the center of Hyvinkää. The lake is small and the water was clean.
I visited here on a hot day. Sometimes photographing beaches can be challenging. People can appear in the photos, but I aim for "general" shots where no one is in the foreground or recognizable. But if the beach is packed, it gets more difficult.
Usmi beach is also known as Usmin beach, and Usmi is one of Finland's approximately 300 EU beaches, which are large public beaches. This means more than a hundred visitors per day, and the quality of the swimming water is monitored more closely.
Here is also a photo taken with a phone. I usually shoot with a nearly ten-year-old Canon digital SLR camera, but with new phones, you can get equally good photos in sunlight.
You can also swim a bit further from the actual sandy beach.
Lifeguard station on the hill. There are nice and clean water toilets here.
